Basically everything that RU Joe just said. I'm also in my 40s, and all I started thinking was "hmm..not much time left to fix this mess, I'm not going to want to do any kind of intense workout when I'm 65, so time's ticking" I think I'm past the point of caring about age and the exterior, but I'd like to live a few more years, so I've been working on the interior - cardio, eating better, and giving up things that obviously cause cancer and 'betus. Not easy at first, but worth it in the long run. There's a huge difference between 35 and 45 for sure.
