Thanks for the title change, much appreciated.
So it's been a while I've been playing these games and I'm starting to see methods in the way people play FPS games.
For example:
'Camping'
is one method of playing I'm sure most of us have heard of; I knew about this one even before I began playing online multiplayer.
A player finds a semi - hidden place to hide and 'camps' there, typically using a sniper rifle to pick off enemies that come into range.
These next ones I came up with.
Let me know if this ground has already been covered and I'm re - inventing the wheel here.
'Team Players'
as the name implies, involves 2 or more players teaming up and
combining their firepower to take down enemies.
Clearly this method is natural to Team Deathmatch games {or equivalent} but
these players use it in free - for - all {straight Deathmatch} games as well; while they could kill each other, they kill
you instead.
'RPG Spammers'
do just that - spam Rocket Propelled Grenades.
Typically these players run and/ or jump around in an attempt to make themselves more difficult targets, presumably to compensate for the weapon's slightly longer reload time as compared to that of other available weapons.
I must add that while this method
is effective and provides 1 - shot kills with slight splash damage over a given area, it pisses other players off immensely due to its cheap - ass nature, the
proof of this is seen when, after the spamming has gone on for a while, players leave
en masse and the game is essentially over.
Nothing clears a game room faster than RPG Spammers {not even Kagutaba}
sure, they may rack up a good score but it takes the fun out of the game for the other players as using this method requires
very little skill, making it akin to 'Farming'.
By the way,
I stick with the MP5 almost exclusively and change weapons only when I occasionally run out of ammo; even so, using the RPG just feels so
cheap and
easy to me, like using a
cheat or something.

No wonder it pisses people off -
in fact, I make these guys my primary targets, right next to snipers/ Campers.
'Zombie'
is
almost always a player who is simply AFK who takes a while to return to the game, however when they do return and suddenly spring to life it adds a
surprise, like the undead rising from the grave.
{after serving as free points/ meat puppet for the other players for X amount of time, being easily found and killed at typical spawn areas}.
One variant scoots off to some secluded area and stays there for an extended period of time, only to return long after everyone believes they left the game entirely.
