delete everything in this folder - this includes your save states so you may want to make a back up first.
try a game again.
This resets all arcadeox settings to default.

If you are positive that it worked before, then you don't need to buy a new computer. Reinstalling windows from scratch on your computer will have the same effect as buying a new one.

Okay so I went ahead and deleted most of the files in the temp folder, but notice there's still one in there that is being stubborn called "coinopF"... It won't go to the recycling bin,and I get a message saying it won't move to the bin because it's still running on another program(MAME). Don't know how to remove that one, ugh,it won't budge.

So then out of curiosity,I went and tried Out Run again. Still choppy! I mean the game plays, but the music keeps skipping, and I think even the gameplay is a bit choppy with it too. Really annoying and can't play the game when it's like that.

Yeah I'm certain it worked smoothly just a few weeks back. I assume now it might be because of that one file that won't move to the recycling? I did notice, the game came up alot faster than before. I might upgrade to 10 if you really say that will help,or reinstall Windows from scratch.
