The Game:
Chrono Trigger is a cult classic amongst RPG fans where you travel through time to prevent doomsday from happening. There are a possible 13 endings that can be accessed throughout the game. Chrono Trigger also has a special mode called New Game + that can retain your weapons and levels in order for you to experience all the endings.
Fun Fact:
Chrono Trigger was originally intended to be part of the Seiken Densetsu franchise (of which the most noteable is Secret of Mana). The game was slated for the Super Famicom Disk Drive. When Nintendo canceled the SFDD project, Squaresoft rebranded the project as Chrono Trigger and development shifted towards a Super Famicom cartridge.
In the original story board, it was planned that the main protagonist, Chrono, would die irreversibly (think Aerith). The party would have to retrieve an earlier, living version of Chrono to complete their adventure. Squaresoft deemed this too morbid and demanded that Chrono be brought back to life later in the game.
This game recently celebrated it's 20th anniversary on August 22nd, 2015.
The objective:
The goal is to complete Chrono Trigger with the lowest levels possible while acquiring all party members. Once completed, you must take a screenshot of your levels and add them up to determine the score. Lowest points win, and in the event of a tie the first submitter will be declared champion of Chrono Trigger.
The Prize:
The person who has the lowest total levels will win. In case of a tie, the first person to submit the winning score will be awarded the victory. The winner will receive the Chrono Trigger Challenge Cup Badge next to their name and also be able to have input in the next Retro Uprising contest, be it in design, captain of a team, or just knowing what the game will be.
