2015 Retro Uprising Gaming Champ
This is the same as previous year's 2012 Gaming Champ Contest and 2013 Gaming Champ Contest and 2014 Gaming Champ Contest.

This contest will test everyone across multiple genres and systems to determine the all around best player of 2015.

The person that earns the most points will be crowned the best Retro Uprising gamer of 2015. Click this link to see the automatically updated scores and ranks.

Only scores submitted between February 1, 2015 and February 1, 2016 12:01 AM EST GMT-5 will count. The end date was moved to the end of Jan instead of the first to avoid the holidays.

Only your single best submitted score in each of the games listed below will count.

The Games:

Run N' Jump = Alex Kidd in Miracle World

Racing = Chase HQ

Bullet Hell = DoDonPachi

Vs. Fighter = Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story The original Genesis had a an optional 6 button controller. This is one of the few games that supports it. You can enable all six buttons by pressing Tab and then selecting "Categories" then pressing right to change "Joystick 3 Buttons" to "Joystick 6 Buttons".

Fixed Shooter = Galaga '88

Beat'em Up = Shadow Force

Paddle = Small Karat: Gemstone Kingdom World (press F5 + Shift in game to enable the mouse) You can choose any mode except "Player vs Player" and "beginners"

Puzzle = Star Sweep

Sport = Stone Ball

Run 'N Gun = Wild West COWBoys of Moo Mesa

The Points:

"Percent" is Your Score divided by First Place's Score times 100 rounded to a whole number. In other words you will gain points just for increasing your score even if you can not beat the score above yours.

For each game you score:

1st place = Percent + 100 points
2nd place = Percent + 90 points
3rd place = Percent + 80 points
4th place = Percent + 70 points
5th place = Percent + 60 points
6th place = Percent + 50 points
7th place = Percent + 40 points
8th place = Percent + 30 points
9th place = Percent + 20 points
10th place = Percent + 10 points
11th and beyond = Percent + 1 point
