A lot of these questions are worded in a way which seems to assume there is some shared idea of 'us' and 'them' , but doesn't identify exactly who 'we' are.

This has to do with corporations like Nestle who are selling bottled water collected from the Great Lakes of the NAU; this is a decision made by the heads of corporations, and therefore is not 'a sad reflection of our society' - I didn't choose this, and neither did most of you!
No mention of the enormous bags of fresh water being towed to China?
