So wait a minute, if I'm understanding this right; that short story shows transition from his 8th to the 9th incarnations, and implies that Eccleston, Tennant, and Smith have actually been the 10th, 11th, and 12th (respectively) this whole time?

Yeah DN. It seems to imply that, but until we see how it all works out in the 50th special, nothing it certain. I'm more curious now than ever, though.
