If I understand correctly, Telltale Games' TWD was more of a fiction created by Telltale Games set in the same universe as the comics. Will "The Wolf Among Us" follow the Fable comics directly or be more of a side story?
If the former is true, it would make me further wonder if the cause-and-effect narrative will be a gameplay element here as well.

The Walking Dead game has no relevance to the comics aside from appearances by maybe 2 or 3 characters such as Glenn who appears in the comics and TV series.
From what I've seen (particularly this:
Why ‘The Wolf Among Us’ Video Game Will Be Better Than Any ‘Fables’ Movie) it seems to me that it will somewhat follow the comics. Might not be a direct adaptation but the protagonist is the same as in the comics and the backstory all seems the same.

Thanks. Telltale is easily becoming one of my favorite gaming companies so I'm trying to follow them as much as possible.

Hold on, looks like it will take place before the comics.
