You should make a small page explaining how you decide that a score is a world record. List your sources, what you do in the event that there are no sources, and define what you consider a legitimate score.

Using Twin Galaxy scores would be better, but even their list falls short because many players play for score without submitting, so they are many scores that are not official.

For instance, TG does not have a listing for 1941, yet I know player Smraedis has a higher score than me, see here. I don't want to be attached to any records when they're clearly not true.

For example here and here are score record lists that are way higher than the cited site. Whole list of shooting game score boards here.

TLDR: Not a good idea to claim records based on wrong or outdated info.
