The problem with sponsoring retro gamers to play is that there is no market, there is absolutely nothing that could provide a return to the sponsors. All the coin-op units have all ceased to be manufactured ages ago, there is no equipment to plaster brands and logo's all over. What do you expect? Something like: "Nitro brand stools!!, the only stool worthy of Billy Mitchells ass!"?
There is no revenue from ad clicks from live-streams, you'd be lucky to get more than a few thousand streamers from the largest of tournaments. The fighting game community is one of the largest competetive markets out there, you know what they get from their sponsors? Arcade Sticks, that's it, no air fare, no hotel accommodations, not even a meal ticket.
There is no market, you can keep dreaming all you want, but nobody is dumb enough to put money into something when it is guaranteed they will see no return.
Seriously Rudy, stop wasting your time and energy, it's not going to happen.
