Nah I don't think the first F-zero was like that really. Besides the other cars being invincible, which is understandable, I think the races were pretty fair. It's been a long time since I've played it though so feel free to correct me.

Did any of you play Destruction Derby for PS1?

2:00 is where the action starts. In that mode all the other cars came after you. It may look like mayhem but there's definitely something telling the AI to chase you exclusively if it can, other cars are just in the way. It was very hard to win a match.
