I graduated high school five years ago, and it seems the culture has already changed quite a bit. You'd never see some kid's parents threaten to sue over trivial things, let alone attacking a teacher when I was going through.
Good for that lady, as long as it was self-defense. The last thing kids need is to be surrounded by doormats.
