I haven't even played it but I still felt like defending it, because it seems to deserve it. I'm pretty much done discussing it but I wanted to say a little bit more because it seemed like people weren't giving it a fair chance.

Yeah obviously but if you don't find that game type fun then you'll have a hard time understanding why it's so popular. That seems to be the gist of your original vent about this. The simple fact is a large amount of people think it's a great fighting game, that's why it was number 1.

Yeah but besides the usual suspects being paid to give good reviews and build hype there is real hype because it's an MK game, the first to be made after the lackluster MK vs DC and Midway closing it's doors. I think the latter is justifiable hype. It just so happens that the game apparently lived up to the hype.
I don't want to argue about this at all really. All I'm doing is trying to give you reasons why it deserves the number 1 spot. Honestly I think we should all be questioning why games like
LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters, NBA 2K11 made the top 10. At least MK seeks to change and improve for each installment. These other games just scrape by with pretty much the same thing every time but people eat it up.
