Yeah, Fort Mac is probably the worst from what I've heard. Edmonton got nearly 8 feet at one point last year and -45. That was a bad year for Edmonton. I worked in Fort MacMurray for a while too, but it wasn't as cold as when I went to Fox Creek - oh man, I was ready to quit my job and buy a bus ticket back home, it was so cold.
Edmonchuk seems to have wind blowing constantly during the winter, stabbing like pins into your skin.
I remember one winter in Edmonton was so bad, I could only run a few doors down the streets downtown without having to duck in a store or whatever to warm up.
Run 3 or 4 stores down, duck in the next door.
No wonder they have those heaters in all the bus stops, and their shopping centers connect underground!
