I don't know if I qualify as an
'actual' Canadian, being half Native, but I do not say 'eh' all the time, and then it's mostly when I'm
joking about that whole saying 'eh' thing.
About is 'Ah - bout' {not BOOT}, Bagel is 'Bay - gul' {only
ONE 'l'}, and so far as 'being Canadian' in the sense that I should somehow fit a stereotype and do and say certain things, I don't.
No more than Americans all having 'twangs' to their speech, saying 'Whelp,' at the beginning of sentences, constantly pound down beer and burgers {or burritos}, or
whatever other stereotypes associated with 'being American'.
