For example, Elvis' death came as a great shock to my parents and their friends, as though someone they knew personally had passed on.
I really hate when people do that. I know it happens frequently and it's not abnormal but it's weird. For example I know I'll be sad when Patrick Stewart dies but I won't be as sad as when a loved one dies. It's just silly to get so emotional about someone you've never even talked to.
