East vs. West: Who’s Winning?

The cultural differences that inspire western & eastern game developers can now been [sic] seen as almost stereotypical of their societies. We see a First Person Shooter, we expect it’s Western. If we see a lady-boy dressed in skimpy clothes, we KNOW its Eastern. Usually our personal preference determines what games we buy & when we buy them, but I wonder recently, has one gaming nation eclipsed the other?

We’re looking at games designed by both sides, east & west, to see whether or not one is gradually overtaking the other in terms of quality & popularity (or if one has left the other behind all together). To do this, we’ll take a look at some of this year’s top games from both sides and the few we can expect in the near future.
