Re: Riddles
No is the correct answer. So OldTimer got it correct. But at the same time if I didnt add "Correctly" Kong would have guessed it right as well...So technically you both win. Who ever wants to put one up first its all yours. Good Job guys.
I turn polar bears white
And I will make you cry.
I make guys have to pee
And girls comb their hair.
I make celebrities look stupid
And normal people look like celebrities.
I turn pancakes brown
And make your champane bubble.
If you sqeeze me, I'll pop.
If you look at me, you'll pop.
Can you guess the riddle correcty?" No!

Re: Riddles
I posted no before Old Timer.
A room has four lamps each with light bulbs.
All are turned off.
You are outside of the room behind a closed door in a hallway.
There are four light switches in the hallway with you.
The lamps are controlled by these switches.
Each time you flip a switch you can see from the crack beneath the door that a light is turned on or off but you can not identify which lamp you are controlling.
You can not see into the room.
You can flip each switch up to 10 times.
You can open the door and enter the room but once you do so you can not flip the light switches again.
How can you determine which switch controls which lamp?

Can't flip the switches after opening the door.

Nope.
And the only way to enter or look into the room is through the door.

Flip every other one and then enter the room?
This better not be some stupid thing that's glaringly obvious once you say it. If so I will be posting about how stupid it is.

Re: Riddles
flip one switch at a time and go in to verify which one it turns on. repeat until you get all four figured out.

Gosh dude, you can't go back once you go in.
---------- Post added at 07:18 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:15 AM ----------
Okay, flip two switches, wait about four minutes, turn one off.
Six or so minutes later, turn the other one off.
Flip one of the other two not flipped switches, then walk into the room.
The switch that was on for four minutes will be the bulb that is somewhat warm.
The switch that was on for ten minutes will be the bulb that is fairly warm.
The switch turned on will be the bulb that is on.
The switch you didn't touch will be the bulb that is cold (or room temperature).
Was I close?

Re: Riddles
Can you plug in and unplug the lamps? Does the 10 on and off rule apply to the plugs?
If thats the case, just flip the second switch once, the third twice, and the last one three times. Open the door and count how many times each lamp turns on when you unplug and replug them. Seven times for the fourth switch, eight times for the third, nine for the second, and ten for the first.

Re: Riddles
Turn switch 1 and 3 on.
Wait some minutes.
Turn on switch 2 and turn off switch 3.
Walk in.
Switch 1 will be on and hot. Switch 2 will be on and cool. Switch 3 will be off and hot. Switch 4 will be off and cool.
