Actually OldTimer I think that the hint was a pretty good one, I cant give out the easy to figure out hints on the first try. The hints will closer to what it is as time goes on.
I even told my wife the riddle and then with the hint that I gave she got it on the first guess.

I can't think of a good riddle right now, so how about a small joke?

One atom bumped into another atom while walking around a corner, causing both to fall down.

'Are you alright?'
the first atom asked.

'I'm fine, but I think I've lost an electron.'
was the answer from the second.

'Are you sure you lost an electron?'
asked the first atom.

so the second atom said:
'Yes, I'm POSITIVE.'
