Re: Riddles
Technically, wouldn't it be parsecs?
A parsec is around 3 light years if I remember correctly.

Re: Riddles
Yeah, but it doesn't really start with a different letter, so the "parsec" isn't between anything. It's just a parsec before S, which still works, but doesn't make the riddle fun.
Good point though. We need a new riddle.

No...Thats not fun. But still the length of the word and definition are different things. Saying smiles is the longest word because the actual word has a mile in between the first and last letter, just a tad different then saying parsecs by definition, which has nothing to do with the length of the word.

Re: Riddles
If there was a word like "sparsecs", then it would validate it.
But I think we have this riddle covered.

Re: Riddles
What is the longest word in the dictionary? "capers" because it has a parsec in it.

Re: Riddles
Good to see you Tanc, good pick up on the riddle.
The mention of Gandi reminded me of this little ditty-
Mahatma Gandhi, as you know, walked barefoot most of the time, which produced an impressive set of calluses on his feet. He also ate very little, which made him rather frail and, with his odd diet, he suffered from bad breath. This made him a super calloused fragile mystic hexed by halitosis.
Yeah it's corny but it makes me laugh.

Re: Riddles
Tanc, wrong. I made up this riddle and I kind of like it. The question needs some work but the answer is interesting. And it is a true riddle not a trivia question.

He was a fast lover, because he was fast to love those around him. Not in a creepy way, either...

Thanks, DB. I haven't had much time for forums and gaming lately.
Your joke is totally corny, but I want to thank you for it. My wife's Grandpa just passed away and he was famous for corny jokes. He would have LOVED this one. I have decided to include this joke in my tribute to him at his funeral.
As for the riddle, I was sure I was right. I would still guess true, but I don't have an explanation...

Re: Riddles
I maintain my answer that he was quick to spread the love to those around him.
DB, that's great, and it's not as corny as it is clever.
This is corny, you've probably heard it.
Did you hear the one about the successful farmer?

There was a bus driver who on his first day to work painted his bus with Sesame Street characters. He had three stops on his first day.
The first stop was two twin girls, both heavy set and both named Patty.
The second stop was a young boy named Shawn who was "special".
His final stop was a Jehovah's Witness named Lester Freeze who liked to pick his bunions while riding the bus.
After stopping in front of the school to let the kids out he proudly proclaimed: " I have two all-beef Pattys, special Shawn, Lester Freeze picking bunions on a Sesame Street bus!"

Why is Gandhi known as a fast lover?

Warning this is a real spoiler. It will make the riddle much easier. And I think it is a fun riddle if you don't cheat.

Re: Riddles
You mean like, he loved everyone?
He was fast to love everyone?
If that's it, I'm pretty sure I've said it or something close to it a couple times...
