I really miss this forum and I wish it was active like it used to be. I'd love to revive it but I don't think that's realistic. Do you know how things are going around here? Do people still set lots of scores?

I'm coincidentally visiting the site as well. I check it every couple of months and I remember being excited to use retrouprising every day when I was a kid.

Hi everyone! I'm still around. I've been working on a different site that should be released in a few weeks. After it is finished I should be able to re-use some of the same code from it to revamp RU.

I haven't played any games in a super long time but played some Gain Ground, Dune 2 and Speed Attack this week.

I was recently showing my kids 3D World Runner and they thought it was awesome. I just gotta get some 3D glasses to get the full experience.

Strange - we all migrated back here around the same time. I'm being worked to death. Since most gaming contests require inps, I'm not doing any playing here lately. I do have a couple of high scores here that I want back. Nice to see RU still has a pulse. This was my first foray into the CAG world. I'm sure I'll be here again soon.

I think fixing some big bugs might have had something to do with it. Scores not being approved and emails (regestration and forgot password messages) not being sent out.

Find one of your posts, click "My Game Screens". Find the system you want and click movies. Example for your Arcade inps http://www.third.arcadeox.com/g/user...oin-op_movies/

Me too but I'm too rusty now to get any of them back.

I haven't logged into RU in a LOONG time, but I am still here quite often... just not in the forum sections. Decided to log in to hopefully help this place keep going.
If this place goes away, I'll actually have to work at work.

I check in from time to time hoping to see some update and maybe push towards WASM technology to replace the ArcadeOX for accessibility, while having my fingers crossed that the site is still alive :)

I don't have much time to play lately, but 100% planning to get back to play some sooner or later.

G'day folks! I still have Internet Explorer set up exclusively for Retro Uprising. Sometimes I use MAME, but I like the game interface here at RU. I felt like playing some DonPachi / DoDonPachi and wanted to see if I could beat my scores here on RU. Cheers all, I hope everyone is taking care! From one of the Australian Johns

Microsoft is just about to end support for IE entirely, just so everyone's aware. Don't use it outside RU.

I'm still around. Terencew is also still around, single handedly keeping RU score moderation going. Give him a big thanks!

This past week I've been working on repairing https://www.2xlbot.com/ 1. The game carts were corrupted in a server migration last year and had to be repaired. 2. It was written in Flash (R.I.P.) and had to be converted to JavaScript.


Around Christmas there was a major, unexpected server problem (absolutely horrible web host) and had to emergency switch to a new server. That was why we were down for a week. The new server is much faster. Previously the old server was going offline daily. New server is running much smoother.

I'm working on a non-game project right now that is nearly finished. After finishing it I will TRY to return to RU to fix the problem that RU can only run in old browsers. That will require programming in JavaScript, C++, Emscripten, WebAssembly and similar languages. None of them are my strong suit. If anyone has those skills, or knows someone that does, and have desire to help, please get in touch.
