Elrod21 - 500 first place trophies.

On July 10th 2010 this site was hit by a Canadian Cyclone in the shape of Elrod 21.

Just under 18 months later Elrod has just collected his 500th 1st place trophy - and he's still going!

Quite an achievement buddy!

You always play fair, but never give an inch. Congrats on being the first to reach this milestone on R.U.

Anyone else who's had the pleasure of competing with Elrod feel free to chime in.

Anyone who hasn't, yet enjoys a challenge.....take him on!

True. Elrod came out of nowhere when I was still on top of my game and totally took the number one spot fast. There's a reason why he got the Gamer of the Year Award.

Thanks Guys! I wasn't sure if anyone had hit 500 before so I didn't say anything.

With the continuing influx of new high-caliber gamers to our already great bunch it probably will be tough to stay above 500 but that doesn't mean I won't try.

My understanding is in the earlier days of the site it was done on screenshot but now all new scores are verified through playback. The high score assasination contest is being used to expose any possible cheating on scores that were set before the site had playback capability.

I have Elrod to thank for showing me the site. I wasnt that intrigued the first time I saw him on it because he was playing Speed Coin for the contest but he talked me into joining and its been a blast. Staying above 500 will be a challenge.

Mods watch the submission for any cheating/rule breaking and will approve/disapprove the submission based on if they pertained to the rules or not.

If you are suggesting Elrod uses his mod powers in order to gain advantages against his opponents, I can only shake my head

We watch playbacks, but only to verify. We DO NOT watch videos simply to learn a technique or pattern. We didn't become mods just because Kong said, meh why not. We have earned the right to be mods due to the trust and dedication we put into the site. I take personal offense when this is questioned of us. We are working on trying to get the videos for high scores on our youtube page, but it is a monstrous task to complete.

Perhaps a user should be able to request a video? Like Kong had mentioned before, it's really not al that different from looking over someones shoulder at the arcade, aside from that, most of these games have guides online and playthroughs on youtube anyway.
