Re: NFL
Nothing makes Roger Goodell more sad than a blowout SuperBowl where most people stop watching.
I am pleased.

Re: NFL
Was hoping for a really good game but it was a laughingstock before halftime. No one was beating the Seahawks defense this year. The real Super Bowl was two weeks ago, the NFC Championship Game. Seahawks and 49ers are probably the best two teams in the league.

Re: NFL
Step 1 in forcing a Redskins name change is complete. The Patent and Trademark office has revoked the copyright on the name Redskins because it is a slur.
Now it will have no immediate changes for the team, they can keep using their name and logo for now. This has happened before but it got overturned on a technicality. The team still has common law rights to keep other teams from making non official merchandise.
It remains to be seen if this will lead to a name change. Someone needs to keep pushing to make it happen.

Football season is upon us again. So far Jimmy Graham of the Saints has been flagged several times for dunking on the goal in the past couple of preseason games, and the Jags are looking impressive for once xD

Meh, not much expectations for the Giants this year. I'll still watch the games while playing my 3DS or on the computer though.

Someone needs to go after whoever the hell was in charge of prosecuting him after that video came out today. They either got too lazy to find it or saw it and ignored it and let him go. They need to lose their jobs.

Re: NFL
Of course they tried to sweep it under the rug. This kind of cover up goes all the way from high school to the pros. If you have a marketable talent at a popular sport you are almost above the law. If this video didn't get leaked he'd be back on the field in no time like nothing happened. Well, until he beat her up again or killed her.
As you guys know I don't care about sports at all but I happened to see this video today so it got my attention. If a normal guy hit his wife like that he would've been in jail that night and he'd be hiding in his house if they let him out before his trial.
For anyone that didn't see it- he didn't defend himself or accidentally hit her, he cocked his arm and threw a hard cross right to her face. Then she hit her head on the elevator wall and was out like a light. He just stood there and didn't even pretend to care about her until the doors opened up and he dragged her half way out where security got involved(and apparently did practically nothing). The video shows his true colors very clearly, he has anger problems and doesn't respect women. This will happen again if he's not punished severely.

Re: NFL
Apparently he went old school and beat his kid with a swtich for misbehaving, because thats what his mother did to him.
He took a tree branch and whipped his kid with it, to the point some of the marks were bleeding. There are pictures out there.
He better not get away with this, I don't care if it was fine back in the day, that's abuse.

Re: NFL
Oh how the times have changed. This was socially acceptable 30 years ago but now its a crime. Don't get me wrong, it's a terrible thing to do but its definitely interesting comparing how much can change in such a short time.
Football players are way too stupid for their own good. I'll never understand why the NFL is such a popular sport when they have the worst role models.

The NFL is in a world of hurt. They've been caught lying their ass off and covering up crap involving Ray Rice and others.
