Re: NFL

That was totaly random, espesialy since the Dolphins' only win was against the Ravens, and now that Tony Romo has broken up with Jessica Simson the Cowboys will be the victorious team, and will RULE THE WORLD. Ummm.....sorry

You can't praise Tony Romo until he's proven that he can handle a long snap. The Cowgirls wont get a sixth unless Romo learns the fundamentals.

The Fish are once again a non-factor this year. Sorry.

EAGLES, sasasa EAGLES, sasasa EAGLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cant wait till this season starts!

Re: NFL

Sorry man don't think there a factor this year either. Probably the real players in the game will be Pats, Giants, Cowboys, Packers, Colts, and the Chargers. The Titans and Redskins might be able to do some damage, but they're not gonna get very far.

ive said it before (elswhere) and Ill say it again. Posers talk about big names and who will go far this year and true patriotic fans follow thier teams.

Also the Packers will not do good If they have rodgers, I heard he gets hurt easily.

I hope I'm wrong.

So, am I a poser then mignelli? I am a die hard Raider fan. I know there is absolutely no way they will be a playoff contender. I will do somersaults and cartwheels in my backyard if they're .500 this year.

If it happens (which it won't) it'll be there.

Well you know what they call people who are "true patriots" even though thier team sucks? Fanboys.

the dolphins are in the rebuilding stage. i think we can do some damage this season. not much, but thats better than our dismal one win season last year.

thats pretty much what im trying to say. You have to have faith in your team even if they may not be the best. You even said theyre in no ways a playoff contender which already proves to me you dont believe in your team.

They would've been in it more so if the Packers would to trade Brett Farve to them, but I don't think that'll happen.

Boy, the Vikings would be a better team with Farve there. Don't you think? I mean Super Bowl contender,

Re: NFL

I disagree Mignelli. I'm a hugely fanatical Steelers fan. But I'm also a fan of football itself. Just because I'm a Steelers fan doesn't mean I can't enjoy talking about who I think is going to play 17 this year.

I respect if you guys disagree, Im just voicing my opinion. I havent met people who are like you guys, all the folks in my city just follow one team, and say nothing but curses about others.

Yeah, the Vikings could do well this year. I gotta friend and a bro who are Steelers fans, and a little bro who's a Ravens fan. >:( Only team that lost to the dolphins, but anyway they probably won't do very well this year.

After these two comments were posted by Metricus, then myself, I heard on ESPN today that the Packer ARE (I repeat, ARE) right now trying to trade Brett Farve off to the Buckaneers. I wonder if these comments inspired that.

Re: NFL

I think the point you're missing Mignelli is there's a difference between a fair weather fan and being realistic. You can love a team and still realize they won't make it to the superbowl that year. Otherwise you're just fooling yourself or you're in denial.

Tails 08-06-2008 01:26 AM

Re: NFL

Favre just walked off the field, and the only ones to express interest in him is the NYJ (Jets) and bucs. The only team he will talk to is the Bucs though, since they play the Packers this year.

Kugyince 08-06-2008 05:58 AM

Re: NFL

Yeah it was made official this morning, Favre is no longer a Packer. He will be in Tampa Bay to negotiate a contract today.
