It was sitting on top of a dumpster, it's kinda rough shape, and missing all cables, but I'm gonna see what unfolds.
Also @Tails, and whoever I just picked up 50 sonic comics for 20 bucks, probably gonna re market them on ebay, unless someone wants them on here.
This seems like the case, upon further inspection every little port on the thing was jagged with screwdriver, and I cracked it open to see if there might have been a salvageable game in it, and there was damage in there too, she must have jammed something in the cd slot and jagged around, so back to the dumpster it goes. At least i can add ps3 to the list of systems I've owned.

Lucky...I had to beg my mom and clean out my disgusting pig sty of a room before I got my PS3. kid you not Steven, the agreement was I clean my room, I get the PS3
ROFL, and you call Cassidy lucky for finding one in a broken dumpster.

My mom would never do anything like that, hell if I want more than two new pairs of jeans for school, I have to find money to by them myself. The most expensive thing my mom has ever bought for me or my brother, would be my brother's iPod Touch. I got a DSi. This was because she didn't have money for Christmas, and when she got the income tax return, she said each of us could have what she'd normally spend on us at Christmas, around $200.

That's nice, well my mom is a whiz at negotiations
Me trying to negotiate with my mom would end in a standstill after five minutes, we are both similar in personality, and are both not willing to back down on what we want. My brother is pretty stupid and gives in to easy, but I don't budge, nor does my mom. So negotiations usually end up nowhere.
+1 Jim that made me laugh. I doubt he begged like that though, this is Chuck Norris we're talking about after all. I think it's an obvious cover story because admitting he roundhoused his mother for a PS3 might cause Bruce Lee come back from the dead and mess him up again.

Sorry to hear your find didn't work out, and I'm good on the comics (thanks btw for thinking of me), now if it were Megaman, maybe. I've grown out of Sonic, but I can appreciate his first outings.

Probably just me, but I'd never do that when I get a gf. Rather spend time with said person, though can't stop me from retro games.

What the hell man? Was this recently? She's treating you like a kid. Think last time I had that happened when the GCN era just started, so 2002ish? I had to go to work for my stuff, and I don't even have a lot of games for the PS3. If I had a better job and got this new comp outta the way I'd flesh more into it.
Just be thankful you had a similar situation at all Tails. The only reason I got a Snes as a kid was because my mother got hit by a drunk driving and we got settlement money. We never had a new system until it wasn't really new anymore.

Non system, yes she even still gets me stuff. But imo something big as a PS3 would be much cooler if you got it yourself..
Reason she says she gets me stuff now is cuz whenever she wants something I buy her it, as a thanks for being a great Mom thing.

I know that feeling, only two consoles I ever owned were new:
I got an SNES in 2002 {from a neighbor who no longer wanted it}
An NES in 2003 {yard sale $5.00}
PSone 2004 {my dad's friend at work got a PS2}
Traded SNES for Dreamcast 2004, traded back when the Dreamcast died shortly thereafter. {my friend was an idiot}
An N64 in December 2005 {birthday present}
A Gameboy 2006 {a friend}
A Gamecube in 2008 {Saved money for a long time}
DS Early 2009 {money saved over long time}
A PS2 early 2010 {saved up for it}
DSi March 2010 {mom's income tax return, entire cost of what I would have gotten for Christmas, had she had money at that time}
PSP March 2010 {traded my old DS}
That's right, my mom bought just one of those consoles, the rest were hand-me-downs, or things I bought used with what little money I can save up {don't have a job, no allowance}.
The last system my dad bought for me was a SNES way, way, back when it was new....those were the good old days. I think my dad partly bought it for himself though. I remember waking up in the middle of the night and he was playing Super Metroid. He let me stay up and watch because it was the end of the game. I beat it about two days later and he was mad cause I had a better ending.
