Saw this. Pretty surprising. The article made it sounds like it wasn't drugs, I'm curious to see what they find out.

Re: dead celebrities
Today I must report that Zelda Rubinstein has passed away at the age of 76.
Those of us that are as old as myself will remember her as the psychic Tangina Barrons in the 1982 movie "Poltergeist" also parts 2 and 3.

Re: dead celebrities
Don't forget legendary author J.D.Salinger died today as well. Personally I hated his only novel, Catcher in the Rye, but it is one of the most well known books in recent history.

Re: dead celebrities
Yeah I already heard about this when they were still searching for him. From the start of this they were pretty certain he was going to kill himself. He gave away his possessions and he sent a very despondent letter to his parents. After he missed a scheduled flight they knew something was wrong. I feel terrible for his father, he was nearby when they found the body(he went there to search).
Not to make light of the dead but I was shocked to find out that Chekovs son was Boner on Growing pains. Maybe being only known for a character like Boner had something to do with his depression? It sounds like he was trying to be an actor, must be a hard stigma to get past.

You know, DB, I think you really have something there when you said:

Immediately upon reading this I was reminded of The Mask starring Jim Carrey because the actor who played his co - worker at the bank killed himself {I don't remember when - he is on the left.}

Then there was Owen Wilson, who was apparently getting ready to commit suicide some years back, according to the headlines.
So I'm starting to think that being a Hollywood actor who is not a top box office seller is a very tough life to lead.
I really do wonder; the way they portray that lifestyle like it's heaven on Earth, and something we should all be envious of...
and then to see the misery of the reality of the situation...

Not many of them seem very happy, come to think of it.

Re: dead celebrities
I don't know his name but I recognize that guy next to Jim Carrey. I think Owen Wilson was depressed because he's known for being a subpar actor that most people mock openly.

I know right? I thought Macho died and I almost shed a tear. Not that I don't feel bad about his dad though.
