You're just some dude who is suddenly in this harsh world. If you don't use any cheats you have to immediately make a shelter and gather some resources. During the night people usually mine, cave explore or work on the interior of their house. Once you get settled you then pretty much do whatever you want. If you don't care for building you can start exploring. Some people explore just for the sake of exploring, like me, and some people do it to find new locations to build or to go spelunking.

In future updates they're adding NPCs who will supposedly give quests and you'll have levels and skills to customize yourself with. At the moment they only have the empty NPC villages(but they are pretty cool so no one minds).

Beta can be good and bad. Bad at how many bugs happen, and the fact you have to pay to play the beta. Good that you can play the game early.

Well from what I read the Alpha version was and still is free. The Beta being pay to play is a way for them to make money and continue working on it. If people didn't pay they'd be working a lot slower and with less motivation. Also people who buy it now save ten bucks off the final price when it's launched.

You mean the game where our RU alliance was started in 08 and disbanded when I quit in January of this year? Yeah that didn't last long at all.

It's kinda weird that you would be paying attention to a game you didn't play and didn't like. But no I think the real activity drop off was in 2010. But even so some people still had accounts when I quit and I know some were still active. The bottomline is RU people came together to play together for an extended period of time. That was with a crappy game that never improved, MC is constantly getting awesomer.

No, I think I played for about 6 months. If I didn't care for a game I wouldn't pay attention to it, why I don't play Minecraft. I liked Ikariam in the sense of just building things, until I got attacked. I felt it was uncool and they kept on doing it and I decided to quit because I didn't want to war people I just wanted to build.

I try to at least now give stuff a chance. Why I ask so many questions about MC.

That's because you never defended yourself properly. Most of the time, you had no army, which practically shouts "FREE RESOURCES!".

I currently do not play Minecraft for the same reasons as Steven.

Usually that means they're much bigger and have supermarkets along with other additional things like that all in one.

I knew quite a few friends who said they didn't want to play a game where they stacked blocks. Then they came back to me a while later and flipped out on how good it was, and how bad they wanted it. Then they acted the same way once they got it... Just saying.

I'm not sure I'm following what you're saying but if you mean us playing MC at the same time then yes we actually do. Most people seem to play from around 3pm - 12am EST. The rest of the time is usually dead. Weekends being an exception obviously.

You seem kinda hostile about people playing MC, is that true? I don't understand why you think you'd be forced to play or go along with it. Sounds like you've had some bad experiences with stupid people.

@DelegateZero- I thought that at first too but after reading about it and watching videos I decided to give it a try and it turned out to be lots of fun. If you're tired of how linear and limited most games are you should give it a shot. You can play the alpha version for free still I believe. Just bear in mind it's not up to date so it'll look worse.

@Tenser- Thanks for clarifying what Tails was asking. Maybe I could've worded what I said a little better but I still think it makes sense.
