PS2 Reccomendations.

I never had any serious issues, but I cold understand your point.
But, DMC4 was smooth for a reason.

I haven't played the PS2 Castlevanias, but I heard they're monotonous.

So i got some games but unfortunately they were out of Persona and TNA impact.

The games i obtained were:

Shining Force Neo
Digimon World Data Squad
Tekken Tag Tournament

Shining force neo is probably a good one to get. Tekken Tag is awesome and tons of fun if you're into Tekken or just fighting games in general.

There's so many good games on PS2 - but one for me that stands out for originality, story and format is called Fahrenheit (in the US it's called Indigo Prophecy). I won't go into too much detail but the way the story develops hinges on your decision making. Some of the combat / action is a little repetitive but it's well worth a look if you fancy something different. The story is compelling and the fact you play as different characters throughout the game is interesting.

Well if you have Kingdom Hearts 2, might as well get Kingdom Hearts 1 haha

I strongly prefer the second over the first. :P but mainly because the camera control with the shoulder buttons pissed me off.

But I prefer 1 over 2.

I would like to add some recommendations:

Need for Speed: CARBON {see my review, this is my fave street racing game to date}

Warhammer 40 000: Fire Warrior {1st person shooter where you play as an Alien warrior battling against intergalactic Nazis who worship demons - you must fight both, and it's a challenging game to play - excellent detailed environments and great characters and enemies, an extensive array of available weapons, and an all around great game}

Mercenaries 2: World in Flames {It plays like Grand Theft Mercenary - You're a mercenary out for no one but yourself, playing whichever side you want in the war to control the oil.
Play the factions against each other with lots of different weapons including an impressive number of machine guns, RPG's, and you can even steal a tank to help you complete your missions.
This game is particularly nice since, like GTA, you don't have to accept any missions if you don't want to. Good graphics, huge map, fun game with lots of enemies}

Mafia {It plays like Grand Theft Mobster in the 1930's - a very good game, one of my favorites.
Incredible storyline, well fleshed - out characters.
Lots of fun to play, and the environments really do take you back to that era with lots of attention paid to detail.
Also, there are race and free roam modes in the game where you can drive some 30+ cars from that era, including early racing models and experimental prototypes}
