Yeah I went absolutely insane with the emulators, I've got pretty much all the ones for Dreamcast. Still use them all regularly.

Really? The D-pad wasn't really the best choice in my opinion. It's decent enough though. Taiwan Genesis controllers are worse :-/ Otherwise yeah, the Dreamcast is pretty sick for emulation. Better than the PSP control-wise anyways.

Yeah the d-pad is crap, it's like you need to consciously press it a certain way to get an acurate input, distracting you from the game a bit. Playing emu's on the DC though I couldn't care less about dying stupidly, it's usually just me and my bro and we are just goofin.

Drunk. I signed up on EVG in 07 or 08 but never used it because I had an Xbox with the good old mod chip. I learned about RU in 2010 but have always been to busy to play as much as I wanted.

onvgp/RU, my home away from home. The door is never shut (unless you're a moron) and you can leave at any time. The converse is also true that you can always can come back because the door is always open.

Sorry for bumping this thread, but I turned 20 today and saw this as I was browsing here and I can't get over the fact that when I first started posting on EVG that was 6 years ago... and I look back at that and can't help but think of some of the stupid things I did/ said as a 14 year old online. I mean, the grammar and spelling was horrible, the way I acted could be pretty terrible (I will never forget arguing with I think it was Tekkaman because I thought the game team trials were unfair because all the other players had cool controllers that made it easier...)

Seriously you guys like Tenser, Kong, Tekkaman, I will never understand how you were able to put up with kids like me back then but thank you so much for it, it was EVG that taught me a lot of basics about the online world and I thank you guys for not being too hard on us even though I'm sure you probably saw us as the annoying kids on your website :P

And Tekkaman, if you are still out there somewhere, YOU OWE ME A MATCH IN SUPER SMASH BROS BRAWL.

Can remember, and remember doing the same about the mod thing... Only actually tried to act like a mod without being one..... The banning yourself was probably the highlight of all your times around, just saying. :P Kidding.

I understand it kind of. Knowing Tenser, Steven, Jim, etc. They just got a kick out of having us around. Seems like a very viable answer. Same here though. I'm glad to say I at least didn't act quite the same in real life back then. I mean I did, but because it was the internet, I seemed to dial up the crazy like a bunch of notches. Although, I have to say, no worries. I don't remember you being nearly as bad as I was. Then again, I rejoined and frequented the forums when you were 15 or something. Didn't see the 2 years prior.

It's now 2014 and I'm 26 years old. The only think that really changed was my username. Ninjatiamat --> ZedIsDead.

Joined a little less than a year ago after the FunSpot Tourney. Somebody over at DK Forums mentioned the "IGBY" tournament, and I had my account created and team signed up within hours.

Since then, I've grown and matured as a gamer, but more importantly as a man. I can attribute many of those positive changes to Retro Uprising. Don't believe me? Take a look at the photos.
