Back from who knows where
Hello all. Been a long time, but I've made my way back around. May have to stick around this time, play a few games, and get to know the new regime. Any old folks still around from way back when? Time for me to look around the site for a while....

Only two years apart from me. Wow, 2008 really doesn't seem like that long ago. Nor, for that matter, does 2006. Yikes.
Anyway, welcome back to RU, Jeckel!

Should I count EVG as a registration date? When was that active again? Man, those were the days ...

Kug did.
Who is here from EVG or onVGP? Any memory of how you found them or RU?
EVG started April, 4 2014 as a site to sale arcade cabinets. 37 arcade games emulated in Java were added in May. All NES games were added in June 2014. Only 80 registered users by end of 2014. The focus switched from physical arcade cabinets sales to online emulators around December or January. 2100 new users in Jan 2015 then all users were deleted for some reason. Then Kug signed up. He probably was within the first 2500 users but because the first 2000 were deleted he probably would have had a user id in the low 2 or 3 digits.

Had a subscription to National Geographic. In one of their issues they had a link to a bookmark aggregation site https://del.icio.us/ . Went there only once out of curiosity and one or two people had "www.everyvideogame.com".

Re: Back from who knows where
I started on EVG, I have no idea what year it was, maybe 2006? It was my very first forum, and to this day, really only it and RU are the forums I stuck with.
I don't recall how I found it originally, I think it just came up in a google search for something NES related.

Re: Back from who knows where
If we're talking about EVG, I found that in the summer of 2007 when an acquaintance showed me the site. It took me a few months to make the switch to RU, although I still hung around EVG's forums until they collapsed in a deluge of spam.

Re: Back from who knows where
Wow, only June 2009. It feels like it's been longer than that.
I think I found/joined EVG approximately a year before coming to RU by Google searching for SNES games online (even though EVG never had SNES games). Then I joined RU by following a link in Oasis' signature in the EVG forums I believe.
