I think it is a little bit different. I'm pretty sure his voice actor from DB (Goku was a kid throughout most of DB) is the same as on GT (when he's a kid)

Yes, it's actually very fun to watch because it is very different from DBZ/DBGT because there are no super saiyans and the fighting is more martial arts based fighting rather than the Ki blasts and saiyan based battles.
