Battletoads NES

I don't know if it's just me, but when I go for a score on Battletoads for the NES, level 3 won't start. I can playthrough levels 1 & 2 or warp from level 1 and get the same result.

What happens is the music for the stage will start up, but the picture will not. All I get is a black screen. Does anyone else have this issue?

Try changing the little tab at the very bottem left from default to Beta and try it that way. That trick works for games that don't load proper.

I tried again and switched to beta as you suggested. Unfortunately I got the same results.
