Third party software required?

I was wondering if third party software (MAME, Nesticle, Stella, etc) are required to play these games?

I ask because some load up the emulator I have installed, while others don't.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Third party software required?

No, they are not required. And they do not load up in any emulators you have installed. You might have the same emulators installed but they are not what is being used to play the games from here..

Re: Third party software required?

When I load any Genesis games, my emulator (Fusion) launches.
When I uninstall Fusion...it doesn't launch.

Something is launching my emulators. I don't expect anyone to explain why I just thought it may be worth mentioning in case anyone else has noticed this.

Thanks again for all the guidance...it is very much appreciated.

Re: Third party software required?

We use Kega Fusion too. It is not your emulator that is being launched - it isn't possible.

I'm have no idea why uninstalling it would have any effect. It isn't possible for it to access any files or programs outside of ArcadeOX.

If you want to use Team Viewer I can take a look at it.

Re: Third party software required?

That's OK. Like I said, it's not a big deal. I am currently able to play everything through IE so I'm just going to stick to that. This site is too good to worry about small details like that.

I am very grateful for all the quick help everyone has given me.

Thanks again!
