| Featuring music by Psykosonik, a funky pop-metal-rap band, X-Kaliber 2097 puts players in the role of Slash, who must thrust, parry, slice, and swipe his way through a dark future world of mutants, morphs, and other bad guys. The sword can also release a bolt of super-powerful energy, which leaves the player vulnerable as it slowly moves across the screen. Eventually, Slash will face his twin brother, who wields a sword as powerful as the X-Kaliber. In addition to the standard side-scrolling slash-'em-up game, the cartridge contains a two-player, one-on-one fighting game in which gamers select from a variety of interesting fighters with a pleasingly offbeat assortment of attacks and weapons. For example, Tattoo uses his rose tattoo for special attacks while Kane fights using a top hat and cane. Neither game is a standout in its respective genre, but solid gameplay, realistic graphics, and a killer soundtrack make the package worthwhile. | X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse is full of the characters from Marvel's X-Men comic books. To start, there is Wolverine, Cyclops, Psylocke, Gambit, and the blue man himself, Beast. From the onset, you can choose which of these characters you want to control. Professor X gives the basic plot, and from there each character has to complete their own level until all can move on. You have two lives for each character. You can kick, punch, jump, or use a super move. Super moves differ for each character, and you can only use them when they are available to you. Wolverine's super move is a hurricane punch with his claws. Cyclops gives a burst of optical energy. Gambit throws one of his ever-present playing cards at the enemy. Beast rushes towards the enemy with a shoulder-block. Psylocke uses her mental abilities while running towards the enemy to defeat them. In addition to the mission mode, which gives you the full story, there is also a training mode, in which you have unlimited use of the character's super move, as well as three lives per X-Man. | An otherwise ordinary shooting game (in terms of graphics, sounds and gameplay), X-Zone makes good use of the Super Scope gun by allowing players to hold down the cursor button for use in activating an on-screen cursor for precision aiming. If players take advantage of this feature, it is not necessary to look through the scope, and the gun can be held in any fashion that feels comfortable. Sporting seven levels and three difficulty settings, the game outfits players in an exo-armor combat suit that is equipped with shields for taking hits, anti-gravity boots for hovering through the desert and into the compound, and a plasma energy launcher for blasting tanks, heavily armed robots, and other enemies. | Just a plain and simple sidescroll shoot 'em up. Shoot, and shoot, and shoot, and shoot.... This is not one of the Genesis' finest moments, it' little more than a poor scramble clone with sound and graphics that would have seemed bad on a Master System! | "Fearing the rising tide of anti-mutant hysteria, Professor Charles Xavier, a mutant telepath, formed the X-Men to confront the fear that mutants will enslave humanity.... The X-Men stand as humanity's only defense against other powerful mutants, such as Magneto, who do not share their dream and insist that the only way mutants can survive the persecution is by forcefully taking their rightful place as humanity's masters." Based on the popular serial by Marvel Comics. In X-Men you can play as any four pre-chosen X-Men and see cameos from the others, a rather plain and mediocre side-scroller with frustrating gameplay. In X-Men 2 - Clone Wars Magneto decides to temporarily switch sides under the threat of an evil techno-bio cloning machine known as the Phalanx -you can even play as Magneto in this one. Has noticeably improved gameplay and graphics over X-Men and offers a better choice of player characters as well. Rating: Times Played: 3116![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | |

| In a dark future, Mojo has his own TV show where the participants fight to death. He has imprisoned some X-Men from the past to recreate their greatest battles. Wolverine and Rogue have to enter the game and rescue their friends, then defeating Mojo to return back home. In this platform game, the player starts by choosing either Wolverine or Rogue. At each new level beaten, a new X-Men will be available: first Gambit, then Cyclops, Havoc and finally Shard. If one of the X-Men dies, the player has to start the level again, choosing among the remaining X-Men to play. After all the X-Men have died, the game is over. Each character can activate his/her power at will by pressing Button 1 & 2 at the same time. Wolverine can use his claws, Rogue can fly, Gambit can throw explosive cards, Cyclops will fire optic blasts, Havoc fires plasma blasts and Shard fires energy blasts. The characters have an energy meter and a power meter, which will wear out as they are hit or use their powers, respectively. They can find items to restore their energy and power. You must find the way out of each of the six levels. Once finding it, you will face a boss, usually known characters from the comics like Magneto, Fitzroy, a Sentinel, etc. The last boss is Mojo himself. | Port of an eye-catching Amiga shoot 'em up, itself inspired by one of the early hit shooter games for that beloved computer system. Written by the same programmers as the original, the legendary Bitmap Brothers, who would go on to create other titles like Gods and The Chaos Engine. The Genesis-rendered music is downright horrid when compared to the Amiga original, but the gameplay is still there. Rating: Not rated yet Times Played: 294 | Tenser 146,540 |

| Xenos. The very name strikes fear into every colonist's heart. A distress call is received from space stations orbiting your home world, then silence. A single ship escapes, piloted by a battered man who tells the tale of pods that hatch into acid-spitting Xenos. A small band of engineers has been dispatched to combat the Xeno threat before it takes over all the space stations and, eventually, your homeworld. Assemble your band of engineers and fight the Xenos on each station, striving to either clear it or abandon it. You start out with a standard issue laser, but can pick up additiona weapons as you find them, including Phasers, Lightning Rifles, Poofer guns, and bombs. Xenophobe was originally an arcade coin-op by Bally/Midway, released in 1987. Gameplay premise and setting is heavily inspired/influenced by the movie Aliens. | It is discovered that the actual aliens on earth are human beings, and the ruthless Xevions want their planet back; but without us. Our only defense is the prototype Solvalou Fighter Plane. With this plane we can fight the deadly Domogram Rovers; the Toroid Patrol Fleets and the Zoshi Death Squads. Xevious is a vertically scrolling shooter based on the 1982 coin-op of the same name. It was innovative in that it was the first vertically scrolling shooter to feature dual-level attacks; both ground and air. This innovative vertical-shooter arcade coin-up game Xevious is brought to home consoles Rating: Not rated yet Times Played: 321 | Seahawk 153,480 |

| It's the year 2777. Due to nuclear wars and natural disasters, Earth's population has decreased dramatically and only five island are left, forming the nation of Xexyz. In Xexyz, humans, spirits and faeries have lived peacefully for centuries under the reign of King Xeu Star. One day, Xexyz is attacked by Goruza who murders the king, builds mechanical castles on each island and captures the queen of each island. You take on the role of a soldier named Apollo who wants to put an end to Goruza's reign. Controlling Apollo, it is your task to free all five islands. Freeing an island is done in several different phases that feature 'Jump'n Shoot' as well as 'Shooter' levels (called "Action Mode" and "Shooting Mode"). The first level of each island is a Jump'n Shoot level that contains many doors to shops, bonus games, friendly NPCs or mid-bosses. NPCs will sometimes give you important hints, items or weapons; bonus games can be played to win some money ("Balls"); defeating mid-bosses (and thereby freeing a Fairy) will get you a cash reward and shops also offer weapons and items. Weapons differ largely in attack power and range. Items have temporary effects such as invincibility or improved jumping abilities. In an island's first level, you will have to find a secret room and defeat a boss, for which you will receive a Force Star that is needed to gain access to a mechanical castle. Mechanical castles look similar to other Jump'n Shoot levels but are more complex. Once you have made your way to a "Cyborg Rider", a self-scrolling Shooter sequence starts in which you have to shoot your way through lots of enemies while picking up speed and weapon power-ups.At the end of this sequence you will leave the Cyborg Rider, and step onto a floating platform for a boss fight. After the boss is defeated, another Shooter sequence with another boss at the end awaits, but this time, the boss if fought from the Cyborg Rider. After defeating this boss, you start the process over with a Jump'n Shoot level. Rating: Not rated yet Times Played: 233 | tehlvler 1,272,850 |
