An action game in the same style as Pac-Man but very very different. You control a ladybug who must venture around different mazes collecting all of the food pellet "x"'s. In addition to there being regular lines of wall in the maze, there are also several rotating doors that you can use to trap enemies and escape. In fact these rotating doors are the key to survival in this game. In the center of each maze is a different enemy insect hive that will spawn out enemy creatures. An enemy creature is spawned every time the border around the screen makes a complete "lap". Timers for the border vary upon the level, so later levels will generate new enemies faster.

In addition to your X collecting, Each maze also contains a variety of power-ups that come in three types: Poison, Letters and Hearts. Poison is deadly both to you and your enemy. Ideally your goal is to convince an enemy creature into chasing you where he'll consume a poison power-up and be removed from game play. Letters and hearts only net you points if you collect them at the improper time, but if collected at the right time, they net you even bigger advantages. For most of the game play the color of all power-ups (except skulls) will be blue. But every few seconds it will cycle through yellow and then red. Collecting them at the appropriate time will net you some real bonuses.

Letters are used when both red (SPECIAL) and YELLOW (EXTRA) to spell words. Successful completion of an EXTRA word gains you an extra life, and successful completion of a SPECIAL word brings you to a special bonus round. Hearts are best used as blue power-ups as they will act as multipliers for the X's you are picking up, first as 2x, then as 3x and finally as 5x. Multipliers are lost when you die, but letter power-ups are not.

Progression through the game brings smarter, faster and more quickly spawning enemies.

Lamborghini American Challenge
Lamborghini American Challenge » Super Nintendo
Determined to live the American dream of becoming a millionaire, you go to the United States to test your only viable skill: auto racing. As luck would have it, you run into an old friend desperate for cash. He proceeds to sell you his Lamborghini Diablo for a bargain basement price. Thus, you are ready to enter the Saturday Night Races, an organized tournament of infernal highway challenges.

Lamborghini American Challenge is not your average day at the races. For starters, you are breaking the law by racing on public roads. Police can chase you to try and slow you down if you are going too fast. If a cop catches you speeding, you could possibly incur a fine. As soon as you have earned enough money from winning (and gambling on) races, you should purchase a radar detector to locate cops and super brakes to reduce your speed in a hurry.

You will frequently need to stop in the garage, which lets you purchase repairs for your car. If you let your car's damage level reach 100% (from running into cars and obstacles), your car will stop and you will automatically lose the race. Occasionally, if the going gets tough, you will want to resort to such nasty tactics as pushing rival cars off the road.

Other things you can purchase at the auto shop include super tires for dry and rainy weather, snow tires for icy climates, various five-speed and six-speed transmissions, infrared goggles for seeing in the dark, a radar jammer, a roadster for better control and resistance, a turbo-boost and an assortment of speed power-ups. Before the game begins, you can select from several different drivers, each ranked by name, number of races won, number of points, and top speed.

To access a race, you will go to a map of the United States containing 15 stars. A yellow star shows that you have enough cash to enter the race, while a red star indicates that you are short on funds for that particular race. When you have won all the races in a division, you can go on to the next.

A split-screen versus mode is available in which players compete in one, five, seven or nine races. To win the race you must beat your human opponent as well as finish first among all the cars.

Yet another mode of play is available in which you use the Nintendo Super Scope to control the action. In this mode you can actually shoot other cars. In a one-player game, you must aim the light rifle to steer your car or let the computer take the wheel while you control firing. The two-player mode lets one player steer using the control pad while the other takes pot shots at enemy cars with the rifle.

You'll compete against 18 professional drivers in nine races. To help you realize your goal of becoming a millionaire, Lamborghini American Challenge includes a password feature for use in saving your division progress and driver statistics.

Landstalker - The Treasures of King Nole
Landstalker - The Treasures of King Nole » Genesis
You assume the role of Nigel, an expert treasure hunter just back from his latest adventure who rescues a pixie from being captured and in exchange is given the general location of the legendary lost treasure of King Nole. From the creators of Lady Stalker - The Apocalypse Engine on the SNES.

Isometric-view pseudo 3D fantasy game with cute manga-style characters and a nice soundtrack. This predates Lady Stalker and is supposed to be a bit more serious, but the questionable English translation gets rather amusing in places. Once you get used to isometric gameplay, then it becomes one of the better offerings in the fantasy genre for the Genesis.

Last Action Hero
Last Action Hero » Super Nintendo
Young Danny Madigan is alone in a dark theater watching the latest action flick starring his favorite movie actor, Jack Slater. Suddenly, because of a magic movie ticket he received, he is transported from his seat into the film itself. He now gets to live out his fantasies, fighting along side his hero.

With Danny as your sidekick, you portray Jack Slater through seven levels of Hollywood-type action. Two of the levels place Jack behind the wheel of a car in the midst of a high speed chase, running down mobsters, and dodging obstacles, manholes, and double-parked cars. The other levels consist primarily of Jack punching and kicking bad guys, most of whom brandish knives, guns, or baseball bats. Based on the 1993 Arnold Schwarzenneger film of the same name, Last Action Hero for the Super Nintendo takes place in New York City neighborhoods, gang-ridden streets, a funeral reception, a movie theater, and on top of tall buildings. Even though the storyline involves a sidekick, this is a one-player game.

Last Action Hero
Last Action Hero » Nintendo
Danny Madigan is watching a sneak preview of the latest film of his favorite hero, Jack Slater, when he is mysteriously catapulted inside the screen; now standing next to his favorite idol. You are Jack Slater, an action movie hero, who takes on the ax maniac "The Ripper"?, who is holding a school under siege, and Benedict, a villain who wants to use Danny's ticket to bring terror to the real world.

The game, based on the film of the same name, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, is very different for each platform. For most of them, the gameplay can be split up into two parts: side-scrolling fighting levels and wild car chases on the streets.

League Bowling
League Bowling » Coin Op
A colorful and playable ten-pin bowling game for 1 to 4 players, offering a choice of three scoring methods : 'Regulation', 'Flash' and 'Strike 90'. The game begins with players selecting either a right or left-handed bowler, before choosing what weight they want their bowling balls to be. Once the match starts properly, Power and Direction meters will appear and players must use both their judgment and timing to select and execute the desired bowl. Timing is key as players are only allowed twenty seconds to make each shot. The 'Strike 90' mode awards players ninety points for a strike and sixty points for a spare. In the 'Flash' game mode, the points flash across the lane as the players throw the ball. Should they succeed in knocking down the standing pins, the points that are displayed at the time the pins are struck will be added to the players' scores.

Learning With Leeper
Learning With Leeper » ColecoVision
Learning with Leeper is a children's educational game that in actuality contains four games in one. On the menu screen you must navigate Leeper on top of one of the four pictures and select it with the "x" button.

The first game, signified by the dog in the top left of the menu is suppose to help children practice counting. First count how many dogs are standing next to empty dishes. Next move Leeper up and down to select the corresponding number.

The next game helps children with their letter recognition. This is signified by the hot air balloon in the top right corner of the menu. In this game you must maneuver the hot air balloon so that its hook picks up the matching letter from the platform above.

The third game is intended to improve a child's cognitive response. This is symbolized by the maze pattern in the bottom right hand corner. In this game you must maneuver the frog through the maze before the caterpillar can get to him.

The final game is a virtual coloring book in the same manor as "Color-a-Dinosaur". This game is symbolized by the paint brush in the bottom left corner. First select a color from the palette on the bottom of the screen. Next move the cross-hairs over the section you would like to fill with that color.
