In Ice Climber one or two players need to climb their way to the top of 32 different mountains. Each mountain is broken up into eight levels of platforms along with a bonus stage at the top. Attempting to stop you from making upward progress are different creatures ranging from polar bears to condors as well as treacherous landscapes with falling icicles, moving platforms, and icy floors. To help out, your only weapon is a mallet which can be used to knock out enemies as well as bust away bricks in the platforms to give you some room to jump up to the next level. When you finally reach the top, it's time to move on to the next, more difficult level.

Classic ice hockey game.

Ice Hockey is an action game for one or two players. Start of by selecting a team and customizing your players. Each team member can be one of three player types: small and skinny (very fast, but not good at checking or shooting), very large (slow, but with a strong body check and outstanding shooting strength) or average (medium speed, with average checking and shooting strength). After the teams are set up, it's time to play some ice hockey! Gameplay features a scrolling screen to follow the action, and lets you choose which of the players you wish to control when on defense (on offense you always control the player with the puck). Fights can break out between players, and the loser may end up in the penalty box. There are five different speed settings for the game, and periods can be either 7, 10, or 15 minutes long.

Hit the ice (literally) in this game. After you beat a team, you get their uniforms which each have their own special abilities. Take out all the other teams to take home the ultimate trophy.

Asteroid type game but this time you have to avoid and shoot iceburgs.

When Paul the Penguin launches an ice cream ball at you, hit it with your mouse. The further away the ball is when you hit it the more points you get.

Loderunner on ice! Collect fruit and unlock doors to advance levels. Use your trusty ice pick to trap enemies in the ice. You can also collect a missile launcher to destroy ice walls.

Firefighters call the situation that leads to a fire the "ignition factor." In Jaleco's The Ignition Factor, it's your duty to enter burning buildings, rescue the victims inside, and determine the cause of the blaze. Before each level, you attend a briefing where you review a map of the building and select what equipment to carry inside. Your choice of gear includes a chemical fire extinguisher, electrical fire extinguisher, oxygen tank, rope and an axe. A standard fire extinguisher is always included in your inventory. You can hold up to five items, but carry too many and you'll be so weighted down that you can't run or kick.

Once inside the building, your must make your way through the labyrinthine hallways, putting out the flames in your path while rescuing trapped occupants and finding valuable items that can be saved. You have a limited supply of health, which is decreased when you touch flames or fall through weakened floors. And it won't be long before the building becomes unsafe, so you'll need to move as quickly as possible. Will you be able to discover The Ignition Factor?

A fun Karate game, similar to Karate Champ. You are the white karate master, fighting the red and blue karate masters simultaneously. Score 5 hits to win the round. Accumulate points to survive a round.

A conversion of the arcade game, Ikari Warriors is a vertically scrolling action game. One or two players fight their way through a variety of terrain, such as jungles, rivers, and ruins. Along the way different weapons can be found, including machine guns, grenades, and rocket launchers.

Heavy on the action, Ikari Warriors became a favorite both in the arcades and on home consoles. To fuel that frenzy, SNK and Tradewest teamed up again for a sequel, Victory Road, released later that same year. This time, the Ikari Warriors take on more cosmic foes, battling rock-headed beasts, one-eyed green men and other odd creatures.

The presidential candidate's daughter has been kidnapped! It is your job to get past enemy lines and rescue her. This is the third game in the Ikari Warriors series, and features similar arcade/action gameplay. The screen is a top down view which scrolls vertically, with numerous bad guys to defeat. You start the game with just your fists, and as the levels progress you can find weapons and other objects to help you out.

Take your character through the landscape of Japan fighting ninjas while collecting money. There are also bonus rounds to increase your score.

Illusion of Gaia is an action-RPG video game that was released on September 1, 1994 for the Super NES (SNES). It was developed by Quintet. Enix published the game in Japan, and Nintendo published it worldwide. Illusion of Gaia was scored by Yasuhiro Kawasaki.

When the game begins, Will stumbles into a "Dark Space," where he meets a strange being called "Gaia". Gaia tells Will that he must leave his home and save the world from a coming evil. A comet is approaching, and it will bring ill fortune to the world.

Illusions is a surreal Colecovision video game in which the player maneuvers blobs around the screen, trying to get them to merge, or, alternately, split apart. At times, lizards may chase the blobs around. The water bucket, when spilled, can cause the lizard to turn into a fish. If the fish remains there too long, however, it turns into a bird. The game was created by Nice Ideas, a division of Mattel that was located midway between Cannes and Nice.

A straight-forward side scrolling shooter. Guide your ship through the obstacles, killing enemies and collecting powerups along the way.

Take your ship through a planetary landscape shooting anything that moves. Another typical shooter game.

A fun puzzle game. Guide the wizard through various mazes and place gemstones into specific order to advance.

EA Sports branches farther afield, as it tries its hand at a professional tennis sim.

Yet another winner for the EA team. No other Genesis tennis sim comes close, and only Wimbledon surpasses it. Is there a sporting sim at which EA hasn't excelled yet?

The Immortal is an isometric action-adventure game.

Your old mentor Mordamir has disappeared. Probably kidnapped. You're not too sure where he might be, but a dungeon is always a good place to look, so you seek out the nearest one and plunge into its depths. Beware: 8 levels of isometric death await.

The Immortal is the prototype of a trial-and-error game. Progress is made by encountering a hazard, dying, solving the problem, encountering the next hazard. To solve a level, you have to know its traps and their patterns by heart. As frustrating as this may sound (it is), The Immortal quite cleverly balances annoyance with curiosity and graphical rewards. In short: You want to see what challenge lies in the next room.

The puzzles range from simple avoidance of traps to the correct use of items; you collect objects in an inventory. Every now and then, The Immortal surprises with a special challenge. For example, you've got to ride a magic carpet through a hallway full of fire traps, or ride a barrel on an underground river. The dungeon isn't empty: some friedlies may have valuable information or trade items, the nasty sort of guys will attack. Combat is fought man-to-man on a special screen. Your adversary indicates his next attack a few seconds before he executes it, so you've got time to react appropriately. You can dodge to the left or the right, as well as attack from these two directions. There is no save option in the game, of course, but you may restart each level as often as you like. Levels can be skipped by entering passwords.

This game starts with a mystery and builds from there. You have stumbled across a message left behind by a lost sorcerer who was battling an immensely powerful and evil force, and you feel compelled to take up the challenge. A fantasy-themed RPG that was a legend in its time, and yet another port from the almighty Amiga computer.

This was the first dungeon crawler I recall that successfully employed 3D isometric perspective, along with correctly proportioned and fantastic-looking graphics to boot. This game is the great-granddaddy of the smash multiplayer hit Diablo, which came along years later and reaped the field that The Immortal had sown.

A side scrolling platform game where you must guide Impossamole through several challenging stages, killing enemies and collecting gems along the way.

Agent 4125 ... Halt the threat of world annihilation posed by Elvin Atombender from his underground laboratory. Penetrate his stronghold and dodge or deactivate the guard robots whilst unscrambling the secret code that will allow entry to the control center. The world awaits in FEAR. Your mission is stamped IMPOSSIBLE.

An excellent conversion packed with everything from the original - even the speech. Meanwhile the animation is second to none. The great platform gameplay is very addictive.
