| A direct sequel to Sega's 1987 "After Burner", G-loc adopts its predecessor's action-packed, if somewhat limited, gameplay, although the game's pace has been noticeably reduced, making survival more a matter of skill than the shoot-and-hope gameplay of "After Burner".
The bulk of G-Loc's action is viewed from a first-person, in-cockpit view, but, at certain points of the game, the viewpoint switches to the familiar third-person perspective of "After Burner", as the player's jet fighter is tailed by an enemy fighter. The player must roll and turn to shake off the pursuer, once this is achieved the game switches back to first-person perspective.
The object of the game is to shoot a set number of enemy planes as they approach from front and behind; rolling and swerving to avoid incoming enemy fire. Certain stages feature ground-based enemy installations which must also be destroyed. The player's jet fighter is armed with both a machine gun, and a limited supply of missiles which can be 'locked-on' to enemy targets. G-Loc's levels take the player through a variety of different landscapes, including wide, rolling plains and rock-strewn canyons. Later in the game, the player must attempt to land their fighter onto an aircraft carrier. Failure to do so results in the game ending. Rating: Not rated yet Times Played: 151 | - scores disabled - |

| There are 6 missions in G.I. Joe, each set in a particular location, with 3 different stages. But they're not your run-of-the-mill levels. The first stage acts as an infiltration to the base sort of stage... where you combat the bad guys and avoid the dangers. The second is where you're inside the base, where you must place C4s at checkpoints scattered throughout the base, and must get to the exit before the time is up (luckily you will have several minutes to do all this) and then the third is the major boss fight. Of course, you will fight bosses on the first and second stages of the mission as well. But each has their own distinct look! That's right! No palette swaps! And the same goes for your Joes! | Winnebagel 3,563,990 |

| Cobra has raised the sunken island of Atlantis. They are using it as a base to control a space-based weapon and train a nearly indestructible army. You must direct the elite forces of G.I. Joe through the base and halt Cobra's plans. Along, the way, you will have to battle a variety of soldiers, gunships, laser orbs, and birds of prey. To succeed in the final battle against Cobra Commander, you will need to find all of the allies hidden throughout the levels. Fight for world dominance in G.I. JOE THE ATLANTIS FACTOR. | Winnebagel 35,300 |

| Gadget Land is a world of intelligent airplanes. The King's Magic Jewel has been stolen, and it's up to the Gadget Twins to find it.
Bright and colorful cartoon graphics are the highlight of this juvenile Sonic clone. Level design is not the greatest, though, and the gameplay is just plain awful - not to mention the nauseatingly peppy BGM tracks. It paints a pretty picture, but that's all. | A far away land filled with monsters and under the hand of an evil king is on the edge of destruction. Only a small group of brave heroes (a dragon warrior, a fairy & a prince) dare to step forth to look for the legendary sword of the Golden Hawk hidden in the flying citadel known as Gaiapolis in order to topple the evil king and bring peace to this troubled land. Features some very nice 2-D graphics, awesome character & enemy artwork designs, a superb soundtrack and addicting hack & slash action with some RPG characteristics (characters & weapons level up, plenty of magic spells & summons). If you enjoyed Taito's Cadash, this game is for you! Rating: Not rated yet Times Played: 197 | Dojah 617 |

| Earth has been turned into a wasteland by centuries of abuse. This is just fine to the galactic terrorist organization Gulfer, who plan to use all that waste to make some pretty nasty weapons. Dan Dare, a resourceful fighter jock, is the under defended Earth's only hope against this menace.
The music is nice and catchy. The graphics are somewhat pixelated, but still give the sensation of flight. Oh, let's not forget the nifty little grappling hook that comes with your ship, which you can use to snag your enemies and suck energy from them, adding to your own supply - a truly original idea. Even so, this is a game that only the hardest of hardcore shooter fans might want. Rating: Not rated yet Times Played: 307 | snooptodd 209,174 |

| Gain Ground is an arcade style action game with a bit of strategy thrown in. Your goal is get all your soldiers to the opposite side of the screen or to kill all the enemies. You start with only three soldiers but there are sometimes other soldiers to rescue on stages. There are many different types of soldiers ranging from spearmen to spreadfire missile launchers. Each soldier has two attacks: a weak one and a special. The strategy comes from deciding which soldier would do best in which situation. Some soldiers have lob abilities so they're required to kill high-perched enemies. At the end of each round (10 stages) there's a boss. Very addictive. | Winnebagel 53,210 |

| Galaga is a vertical arcade shooter from Namco. You control a space fighter at the bottom of the screen, scrolling left and right in order to avoid oncoming bombs and kamikaze attacks from alien invaders--and to fire your own missiles to fight back!
There are an infinite number of stages to progress through. Every third level is a "challenge stage" in which you have a free chance to shoot as many aliens as possible and rack up bonus points.
Certain aliens have tractor beams they can use to capture one of your ships. If that wasn't your last "life," you can try to shoot that alien down and recapture your ship, giving you two ships at once and doubling your firepower.
A summary screen appears when the game is over, giving you both your final score and you final "hit ratio"--the number of missiles fired, enemies destroyed, and the percentage of targets hit. | stevencassidy13 253,560 |

| Get two classic arcade games with GALAGA or GALAXIAN. In both games, you'll have to blast enemy bugs that enter the screen in waves. Once the bugs appear, they line-up at the top and dive-bomb your ship at the bottom of the screen. In GALAGA, the more powerful enemies can capture your ship. If you're able to free the vessel, it will join your current ship for double the firepower. Both games are perfect conversions of the arcade games and have been programmed to take advantage of the Super Game Boy. Blast an alien bugs in GALAGA or GALAXIAN. | Galaxian is a shoot 'em up in which the player is at the bottom of the screen, with an arrangement of aliens at the top. The player moves left and right to aim at an alien, then shoots a bullet up the screen, and the alien it hits is killed. The aliens are classed as Drones, Emissaries, Hornets and Commanders, with those higher up the screen scoring more points when destroyed. At set intervals an enemy will move down the screen towards you, escorting a bomber, which is a moment of high danger. Clear a wave and another is generated. | A legendary single-screen shoot-em-up that took everything that made Taito's ground-breaking "Space Invaders" so good, and improved upon it on every level. Each screen starts with a wave of multi-coloured aliens moving left and right at the top of the screen; the aliens quickly break ranks and start dive-bombomg the player - either in single units or in usergroup of three - dropping multiple missiles as they descend. All of the aliens need to be destroyed before the player can progress to the next wave.

| Galaxy 5000 takes place in the year 5000. You enter races on each planet in your groovy spacecraft, earning money for accomplishing various feats. Feats like blowing your opponents up, and winning the race. There are nine racetracks, one for each planet, and you race each track four times. Normally this would be boring, but the obstacles and bonuses change during each race, meaning the game really has 36 racetracks, not bad for an NES game. The levels are nicely designed and the 3D landscape is not seen in many NES games, especially racers. It adds an extra dimension to the racing, since you can only kill opponents who are on the same 3D level as you are. Rating: Not rated yet Times Played: 142 | - scores disabled - |

| Port of the highly regarded sci-fi arcade shooter of its day. No plot - just fly and shoot, then go through the tunnels to find the boss, defeat him, and move on.
A Sega arcade classic in the same vein as Afterburner and other such first-person shooters, but with superior graphics and gameplay. This one made for an easy and faithful port to the Genesis, and is quite enjoyable even after all these years. The enemy scaling is still rather choppy, but at least it isn't as bad as Space Harrier 2. Rating: Not rated yet Times Played: 350 | hookedonwax 2,903,100 |
