What did you think of it Sabby? How did it stand the test of time? I owned it as a kid but I don't remember ever beating it. I was thinking of giving it another go.

This is the second or third time I have beaten it (thanks to RU). For Christmas one year I got a computer CD that had Sega Genesis Classics. The games I liked most on it were Phantasy Star II and Shining Force. If when I play a sequel I like the game, I try to find the origins of the game. Thanks to here, I have been able to go through it a couple of times, this time for mastery.

As for your question on how it stands up against the other big ones (Final Fantasy and Dragon Warrior series), I think these are just as enjoyable if not more. These games take your RPG gaming into a sci-fi realm. I'm not much for sci-fi fan, but I really enjoy this series. I have beaten 1, 2 and 3 or 4 (for a contest) and highly recommend them.

Well, time to finish some other RPG first for mastery (currently playing Dragon Warriors 1 and 2).

These (the Dragon Warrior series) are some of my favorite games, I have probably beaten Dragon Warrior a good 20 times.
