Tournament requests.

Only mods can create a tournament. If you would like a tournament you may request it here. If one of the mods is interested in holding it (most likely) they'll create it for you.

Please include the following things:
1. The game you want.
2. The number of players allowed. Must be either 2, 4, or 8.
3. The number of tries per round. Must be 1 through 5.

Also the game can not be listed as a Farm game.
The main reason for having multiple tries per round is in case there is an error submitting a score you can have an extra go.

How do tournaments work now?

Click Game Menu -> Tournaments and you can see what is going on better than I could explain it.

Ok so its single elimination now. Why does it say that you won the match between winnebagel and cthegamer90, and then it shows you playing against yourself? Also, do the scores only show up once you've been eliminated?

Re: Tournament requests.

Yes, Single elimination.

Once winnebagel and cthegamer90 finish their round they will go where my name is. It is a bug that fixes itself.

The scores show up after you are eliminated or the tournament is complete.

Also for each round if you don't play within 3 days you get a PM reminder. If you don't play within 7 days you are disqualified.

And you get a reminder when the tournament is full of players and starts.

Re: Tournament requests.

Kong I have a question regarding the number of days a tournament lasts. Does someone have 7 days for each round or 7 days for the entire tournament? For example, assuming the first part is true, that would mean that single round tournaments would last a maximum of 7 days. Whereas a 3 round tournament could last up to 2 days correct?

Re: Tournament requests.

7 day for each round. So worst case scenario an 8 person tournament could last 3 weeks.

Re: Tournament requests.

Okay. That's kind of what I was thinking from looking at the tournament, but I wanted to make sure. 3 weeks sure beats the 6-9 month tournaments we used to have on here. Someone could have carried child to full term in the same amount of time. ;) I like the 3 week option better. Thanks Kong!

Anyone up for a tournament including The Chaos Engine, with four players, and one try per round?

I was wondering if we could have another screen shot scavanger hunt contest.

That's not really a tournament request. I'll make a new solo contest when the current one is finished.

There is a bug with the tournament system. We will not be creating new tournaments until this issue is resolved.

Thread closed until the tournament system is back up and running.
