Retrouprising Fantasy Football League

I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this thread, but I am creating a Fantasy Football league for all of us here at RU. It will include a live draft held this coming Weds. at 10pm Pacific.

Starfoxfan has already signed up. If anyone else is interested, please send me an email address. The only way I can invite teams is by sending an invite to a valid email. The league is through ESPN. It's free and extremely easy to use.

If you want a team but don't want to live draft, that's fine too. Just sign up a team and the computer will autodraft the best team for you.

League winner will win some sort of special prize.

I am considering switching leagues from ESPN to Yahoo. I would prefer to use ESPN, but it has been a little problematic.

Currently, we have four interested teams and considering our draft is in less than 3 days, I have created an eight team league. That means we need 4 additional teams. I know there may not be a ton of sports fans on this site, but even if you are Fantasy football newbie, feel free to join. This is all for fun and you'll have plenty of help along the way.

Invite sent to you, Billy. I seem to have the ESPN site figured out now. I've used Yahoo for years, but I like the customization that ESPN offers.

As for the draft time, I'm open to change it. Right now, we've got 1 team from the west coast, 2 teams from the midwest, 1 team from the east coast and 1 team from the UK. It will probably be next ti impossible to set up a time that works for everyone, but I want to hear from you guys.

What time works for you guys on Wednesday the 8th?

We still need a minimum of 3 more teams...

@Tails - Don't worry about the draft time. I am probably going to change it.

Also, if you can't participate in the draft, the computer will AutoDraft for you the best possible team. This will only be an 8 team league, which means everyone is essentially guaranteed a strong squad.

Tails, I sent you an invite. Do you know how Fantasy Football works? I know we have at least two noobs in the league, so I might write up a quick overview of how the whole thing works.

OK, here's the deal: We have 5 teams signed up, and a 6th (Tails) pending.

We need two more teams to be signed up at least 1 hour prior to draft time (Weds. Sept 8th @ 10pm PST, but subject to change), or we can't draft.

Is anyone else interested or are we dead?

Good stuff, Jim! We now have 8 teams. Jim and Tails still need to register. As soon as they do, I will assign the draft order.

Here is the team list:
1) Tanc24

3) Warghoul
4) Kiwinvega (autodraft?)
5) BillyHoyle (autodraft?)

8 ) Jim5cents (autodraft?)

I've marked down the 4 people who have told me they won't be able to draft tomorrow at 10pm PST. I'm not sure if Sabby can draft either, but I'm sort of guessing not.
Would it make a difference to any of you if I changed it to 3:30 pm PST tomorrow? Let me know if that new time would affect you, good or bad.

The time of day isn't the issue for me...it is the 90 minutes - 2 hours to do a draft that is my problem. In the middle of the week, I've got other stuff to do. I've already rearranged my autodraft list, so I'm good to go.

Sounds good Jim. If you change your mind, this draft shouldn't take long at all. With at least 4 of the 8 teams autodrafting, I see this thing taking no more than an hour, tops.

Looking at the setup, it said the draft was 10 PM EST. Has this changed? I might be able to make the back end of that, although, by then, it won't matter who I'm drafting.

Whoa, thanks for the heads up Sabby! ESPN will actually not allow us to draft at 1am EST, so I have started the draft an hour earlier. We will now start at 9pm Pacific time tonight (Midnight eastern).

Also, we randomly rolled the draft order last night in chat. Myself, Cassidy, Wolfman and SFF were all there as witnesses, and here is where the dice landed:

UPDATE - Tails is working all week, so I created a team for him. Tails, you still need to accept the invite I sent to your hotmail account, but now it can be done at your convenience. We are now officially set and ready to go!
