Show your pride
So Kong suggested it might be a good Idea for members of teams to have their team logo put into a signature.
I for one think this is an excellent idea, this will help new users be aware that teams do in fact exist, also to let old members keep a good idea of who's active on what team. Plus you will look super cool with your super sweet new team sigs.
Any thoughts? Are any of you team members not willing to sacrifice your uber awsome sig's that you have now? The way I see it it should really be all or nothing, if every one would show their team pride it would be cool, if only half decide they would like too then it wouldn't be so cool.

Re: Show your pride
I'm not really down with the idea of everyone being forced to have a team logo as their permanent sig. I think signatures can be unique and make someone distinct with their own identity. If there was a way to have an additional sig just for a logo like that, that would be cool, but not if it takes the place of a sig someone might want.
Having said that, Essie that new VG logo is ubersweet!

Re: Show your pride
I think the logo is pretty cool...but it is even more vicious not to conform to logos.

Re: Show your pride
@WB, I'm glad you like it, you'll be seeing it in your nightmares come next contest.
@Jim, but wouldnt it be even more vicious to not conform to not conforming?
@Tails, I read that several times and assumed it had something to do with colecttoons or pokemon or something. That's partially because it's worded weird. (it's suggesting that you are Eternal Champions) But a logo would have been no question.

Wait a minute, is this a typo? Or is this the latest variation?

Re: Show your pride
I think Bagel meant VD, not VG.
GOM is too laid back to require members to do these things.

Tenser's right. I meant VD. My bad. I must have had video games on the brain.

Re: Show your pride
I like the idea, but I also agree with Bagel. Perhaps repping the team logo on your sig only during competition to get some attention. The idea for this is to get more members to join up and play right? Doing the sig rep is only good for those that bother reading threads where it's mostly just a dozen or so talking with each other...we need to get more personal and go out and invite people. That's what I did and managed to pull a team of 7. Some had history with the law, but most had no idea that there was some team action going on.

Re: Show your pride
Why not just put the team banners on the Home page? That way you can advertise the teams and make people aware of there existance without haveing to visit the forum.
I like the idea of only having them in your sig during tournaments but I think that if you want to have it all the time you should be able to (or unless you leave the team)

Re: Show your pride
Speaking of teams:
Does anyone have an opening?
I've dealt with all of my problems with ArcadeOX, and have improved some. I just haven't gotten around to chasing high scores.
That and I have enough time to devote to contests.

You should really try and get some trophies and put up some scores, right now the teams don't even know if you play on the site or not. A good candidate needs too have at least some proof of his ability.

I prefer the team logo under the avatar thing but if it's too much work or w/e I'm fine with sigs.

I agree DB. Having team logos underneath one's avatar makes more sense to me, if it's possible to do.
I think signatures should be an individual choice and I don't plan to replace my signature with an Eternal Champions logo any time soon. Actually, my avatar is basically an EC logo.
@SC That VD signature is pretty cool though.

No, I will argue though that it is definately most vicious to not conform to those who are not conforming to not conforming.
If I had to choose between a spot under the avatar or in the sig, I would choose under the avatar.

Re: Show your pride
Problem is, VD doesn't have anything worthy of showing pride in.
I will continue to not conform to those not conforming by not conforming for non conformists who are not conforming. Thus I will do what ever my little cold, dead heart desires with my own signature.

Except for placing ahead of GOM in all the tournaments that we have had since VB was formed.
