There are two groups in this contest. The "Defenders of the Crown" and the "Challengers".

The Defenders of the Crown and their badges and win/loss record.

Defenders = 21, Challengers = 18

The Challengers

1. Everyone
2. And you too!

The Defenders can also be Challengers but can not defend against themselves.

Challenger Rules

Post a link to a game. The game must:

1. Support scores
2. Not be farmable or have undetectable cheats (check gamefaqs.com before posting)
3. Not have scores submitted by anyone else besides yourself

You can only post one game at a time. After your challenge is over you can post a new game link and try again but any challenger with fewer challenges than you will go first.

As soon as you post your game you can start submitting scores.

If your game is in the queue for 5 or more days then you can challenge a specific defender. They will have 48 hours to post scores after you request them.

Defender Rules

When a Challenger posts a game one of the Defenders will post an acceptance of the challenge.

When accepting a challenge the Defender should post here and send a PM to the defender.

The Challenge

After the defender accepts the challenge their will be 24 hours to compete for the high score. All scores will be visible. Defenders should mod their scores right after submitting.

If the Challenger wins then they will receive a badge from the Defender. You can only win each badge once.

I will keep a keep a tally of Defenders Wins - Loses. If the Defenders win more than the Challengers then the Defender with the largest tally at the end of the contest will win the Defender of the Crown badge. http://retrouprising.com/images/misc...nder_crown.png

The contest will last until interest is lost or all games have scores.

No. It is 24 hours from the time the challenge is accepted and the challenges should be accepted fairly promptly. The queue should only be a few games long.

No. There are thousands of games with no scores. This contest is designed to bring attention to them.

Actually, I'm not sure if this will work. It's a two coin game, and the system won't let another coin be put in for some reason, even though it is set to allow 2 coins.

@ Kong, can this be fixed?

This is getting more cluster bombed and confussing than I expected. :sidefrown:

Yes both Defenders and Challengers are first come first serve. The challengers are put into the queue first come first serve except repeaters go to the end. The first Defender to accept a challenge has 24 hours to submit a score.

The defenders can start submitting scores right away. You do not have to wait. The scores submissions are finished 24 hours after the Defender accepts the challenge but the start as soon as you post. If the queue got backed up and you had posted your game a couple days before then the Defender should send you a PM letting you know they have started.

This is not a great method but the best we got right now. Go to the game menu and sort by High Score Ascending. Page 106 - 110.

okay well i put up a score, my first attempt:p but david man isnt online and he hasnt put up a score yet, hes got less than an hour remaining. original acceptance was 23hrs ago. looks like i might get a freebie here.

It's because the challenges from the Win-A-bagel thread were carried over to here. The first few were carried over (though my wins over there don't count here. :'()

How are we going about with the approving of scores? I suggest scores are only approved when one of the 24 hour periods runs out. The game mods will just have to make sure not to approve any game that is currently on the queue.

Kong said to approve them right away so they show up. I think maybe the intention is to get a bunch of scores on the table. My personal preference would have been to blind the scores, but I think that would be too much to keep track of since so many are running at once.
