Ok, I found a bug sadly. Seemingly when you go into the dark field in the game where it changes into deep underground perspective, the game freezes, so try to avoid that at all costs.

Yes, what I did was go all the way up and circle around it. But for some reason I keep landing in england when the stages are random. O_o

Okay, so at least you are both on even ground since you are both aware of it. That's a weird glitch, though.

Re: Defenders of the Crown
Great challenge Cassidy! That was pretty close. You set a really good final score.
Final count for Sidewinder Challenge: Stevencassidy = 312,100 / Gamenguru = 327,400.

Re: Defenders of the Crown
Hey Kong, we just hit 2 days, so the 3 Count Bout challenge is up. Thanks for playing. I know that game can really kill the hands sometimes. It's a bruiser.
Final scores:
Winnebagel - 285,200
Kong - 127,300
- I go back and forth between loving and hating 3 Count Bout. Either way, I think too much of it could give someone carpal tunnel syndrome.
I think we still have a few more hours on Rampart, so we may still trade badges.

Re: Defenders of the Crown
Kong, I think you are going to take Rampart. I don't think I'll be able to be on a system with AOX until later tomorrow. Great job! I like that game a lot, but I can't seem to get past the 4th level when the little fire throwers start spawning and making craters on the land.
I couldn't figure out what some of the icons did either (like the potion looking ones in the forest level). Any tips?

The icons are only on the Game Boy version which I had never played before. I only got the treasure chest (1-500 points) and the castle (extra castle). I saw the potion but I didn't get it.
Once you figure out the rules and how to play there aren't many tips to give. Memorize the buttons. Learn how much you have to lead your aim. Don't shoot as fast as you can. Shoot the flame throwers first. Leave room to build. Do everything fast. Get the items on the later rounds 4 or 5 after you have a lot of cannons. Don't put cannons near the edge of the screen or you can get blocked. Don't build a row of canons between two castles so you can build a wall between them and abandon one castle if you need. Leave one castle as open as possible - no cannons so you can wall it up if you are in trouble.

3 Count Bout is very hard for a fighter. At first I hated it but after I figured out how to get past the first guy (took a while) it started to get a little more fun. It's not one of the all time best fighters though.

It is a tough game. I feel the same way. I play it on my Neo Geo sometimes. It reminds me of Saturday Night Slam Masters more than anything else. The thing that's toughest is there are some guys you just simply can't win a grapple against, so alot of strikes are necessary. I like it, but it's a really really brutal game.

Re: Defenders of the Crown
Congrats Tails, you win by default.
I was going to try Cyborg 009 last night but instead I decided to play New Super Mario Bros. Wii with my niece who stayed over night while home from college instead.
I'm sure Cyborg 009 is a great game and all but I doubt it compares to NSMBW. ^_^

I totally agree. My Mom apparently lied to me and got it for me for my birthday, I just love how
I'm on World 4 with Wendy, been playing it on and off since my birthday.
Yes, Cyborg 009 is a GREAT game. I love how you can choose 3 Cyborgs with one being chosen for you already. I had no idea on it's existence until the big beta testing phase with SNES.

how is the single player?
i want to get it, but im slightly concerned that it may have the same issues as nsmb ds, as in, too short and too easy.
i dont want to buy a game i can blow through in 3 hours.

Re: Defenders of the Crown
8 worlds that I know of thus far plus two other play modes.
I would certainly say its quite a bit more difficult than SMB3.

Re: Defenders of the Crown
Easy? No, not at all. It pissed me off big time especially world 2. >_>
HOWEVER, for the people who want it easy, after you lose like 5 lives Luigi appears in a Green ! box and shows you the "safe" way through the level. Keep in mind, you do not have to hit it and figure it out yourself.

Question for Kong/anyone: Would Robocco Wars ~ Nes be allowed? Not that many scores except for me and Oasis.
